IM-242 is a dining chair with metal tube base in black power coating frame, seat shell upholstered with high density polyurethane foam. Covered by velvet or eco-leather.
The inspiration lies in an interplay between soft and solid materials. The metal backrest is pressed into the soft, supportive back cushion, creating an intriguing image which is similar to pushing the two elements into each other. Visualizing both structure and comfort meanwhile its back support cradles the backrest, and in turn the chair cradles the user.
